GoEmpire Group is a full-service athlete representation firm based in Chicago. Our professionals possess a thorough understanding of the sport industry, with experts in personal management and representation, including contact negotiation, marketing guidance and career counseling.

Edward C. Grochowiak
Founder, Executive Director
(NBPA, FIBA certified)

Born and raised in Chicago, Edward oversees and manages day to day operations of GoEmpire Group's Chicago office. Mr. Grochowiak is responsible for reaching out to & communicating with coaches, owners and executives throughout America and Europe.

Edward is a devoted member of both the Screen Actors Guild and the Sports Lawyers Association. His duties include: client recruitment, player marketing, client relations, agency marketing, strategic planning, philanthropic outreach and all other administrative matters concerning GoEmpire clients. Edward a Masters degree through Northwestern University's Master of Sport Administration program.

Cole McKeel
Vice President

Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Cole studied business and sport administration at the University of Louisville. During his time at UofL, Cole was the head manager for Hall of Fame basketball coach Rick Pitino. Upon graduation, Cole chose to continue his education, working towards a Master of Business Administration at UofL. Cole has served roles in high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic/Paralympic athletics and brings well-diversified expertise to GoEmpire.

As the Vice President of Client Development, Cole is responsible for client recruiting and relations, ensuring the continued full satisfaction of GoEmpire clients. His duties also include: player marketing, community service initiatives, strategic planning, video and other daily operations.

Taylor Darby
Client Advocacy Manager

 

Hailing from San Marcos, CA, Taylor Darby brings a wealth of basketball knowledge, both on and off the court, to his newest position with GoEmpire.  As a standout at Pepperdine University, he was named a two-year captain and three-time West Coast Conference All-Academic Team.  Darby then signed on with GoEmpire Group as a client and played in 40 games professionally overseas in Chile, Denmark, Israel and Uruguay from 2012-2014.  As a former player himself, Darby’s ability to mentor clients is invaluable.  He is well respected in the basketball community, and he is especially helpful to those who are just transitioning out of college.  

 

As Director of Client Development, Darby's responsibilities include assisting the agency in the recruitment of players, as well as providing guidance to clients, helping to ensure they have the best chance to succeed in both their professional and personal lives.

Kasey Parks
Director of Basketball Operations

 

As the Director of Basketball Operations, Parks works directly with Ed Grochowiak and Cole McKeel to identify opportunities for career advancement of all agency clients and helps shape recruitment strategies on behalf of the firm. Aiding off the court, Parks guides the philanthropic effort of all agency clients.

 

Prior to working with GoEmpire Group, he spent time with the Indiana Pacers within their Basketball Operations department. During this period, he was involved in the team's Draft & Free Agency preparations. Parks earned a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from the University of Missouri, Columbia. While at Mizzou, he served as the Assistant Video Coordinator for the Basketball team. He currently resides in St. Louis. 

Dr. Nate Willis II

Brand Management Consultant

 

Dr. Willis offers strategic advisement on both client and organizational operations at GoEmpire Group. Helping aid in player retention, Willis works with agency clients continuing down their professional careers on and off the court.

 

Willis' operational experience over the years also includes, working with multi-million dollar budgets that have involved the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA in marketing and contract negotiations. In addition, he has worked with a $26 million collegiate facility management project. He possesses a health-analytical background allowing him to make specific connections between health and sport related outcomes. 

Jon Newberry

Digital Media Specialist

 

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jon Newberry graduated from Emory University in Atlanta where he ran track and cross-country while earning his business degree in marketing and communications. Jon went on to earn his Masters degree in Sports Information at Georgia State University where he also worked in the Sports Communications office.

Jon spent six seasons (2006-2012) working with the Atlanta Hawks on their team website and other digital marketing initiatives. His previous work experience included media relations work with Florida Tech, Georgia State University, and the Richmond Roosters minor league baseball team.

Colin Casey
Director of Internal Operations and Basketball Analytics

Colin was born and raised in Philadelphia, and is a 2010 graduate of the University of Richmond. While at Richmond, he served as a men's basketball manager on Chris Mooney's staff, serving as head manager during both his Junior and Senior years. Upon graduating from Richmond, Colin went on to earn an MBA in Sport Management from Seton Hall University in 2012. Most recently, he spent time in sales roles with companies like Madison Square Garden and PrimeSport, becoming well-skilled in building and managing client relationships. The experience Colin brings from his previous roles make him an excellent asset for GoEmpire Group.

 

As Associate Director of Recruiting, Colin works heavily in contacting potential clients that the agency would like to represent. His duties include: player marketing, player scouting, and daily basketball operation tasks and duties.
