Daviyon Draper is a 6’7”, 217lb swingman who is entering his fifth professional season. Daviyon has had experience playing in multiple different leagues around the World, including leagues in Holland, Greece, Morocco, Argentina, Mexico and most recently in Brazil where he played for Bauru in the Brazilian Premier League.
Daviyon has always been a gifted scorer with the ability to be a scoring threat at any spot on the court, especially in transition, isolation and coming off of screens. This past season, Daviyon was in the top 90% of his league with 1.09 points per possession including 1.48 points per possession in transition, which ranked in the top 96% of the league. He has an incredibly high basketball IQ and great shot selection, proven by his career 47% shooting percentage from the floor leading to averaging over double digits in three of his four professional seasons, including a career high of 16.3 points per game playing for Estudiantes Concordia in 2018-2019 in Argentina. A combination of athleticism and strength allows Daviyon to effectively guard both inside and outside, bigs and guards.
Throughout his first four professional seasons, Daviyon has been named to one All Star Game (Dutch Eredivisie, 2017) and been recognized as a Eurobasket.com All-Dutch Eredivisie Honorable Mention and was named Argentina La Liga player of the week two times. In 2018, Daviyon was a key member of the As de Sale team in Morocco leading them to the Moroccan Throne Championship, Moroccan League Regular Season Championship as well as the Moroccan League Championship.
Daviyon attended Antelope Valley College for two years before transferring to Florida International to cap off his collegiate career. While at Florida International, Daviyon started in 53 total games while averaging 12.29 points per game to go along with 6.03 rebounds.
Daviyon was born in Los Angeles, California to Devon Draper and Roxanne Armstrong. He has an older brother, Kevin and younger sister, Alana. Daviyon attended High School at Locke High School in Los Angeles where he played for head coach Lloyd Webster. Throughout his Varsity career, Daviyon averaged 24.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. He was an All-State and All-Coliseum League selection during his time with the Saints. Daviyon graduated from Florida International University in 2016.
