Justin Leon, a 6’8”, 205lb swingman out of the University of Florida is entering his fourth professional season after spending his most previous season playing for Science City Jena in Germany Pro-A Division.

Justin spent his first two seasons playing for the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA G-League. An athletic, high flying lefty, Justin has a high motor and consistently outworks his opponents on both ends of the floor. On the offensive end, Justin can play inside and out.

During this past season, Justin averaged 9.9 points per game and was one of the most efficient two-point scorers in the German League Division 2, shooting 62.2% from inside the arc on 101 total shots. Justin scored double digits and also added 5+ rebounds in 15 games this past season. He has a great impact on the offensive end without the ball as well. Whether it be setting screens to open up the offense, crash the boards for offensive rebounds or diving on the floor for loose balls, Justin is always doing what it takes to help his teammates succeed.

In his two seasons with the Oklahoma City Blue, Justin showcased his ability to stretch the floor, hitting 148 total shots from long distance.

After spending his first two collegiate seasons at Shawnee Community College, Justin transferred to the University of Florida to play in the Southeastern Conference. In his 70 career games (47 starts) at the University of Florida, Justin scored 448 points and grabbed 252 rebounds. He solidified himself as a full-time starter during his Senior year and was a key part of the Gators success, leading the team in three-point shooting at a 39.8% clip. His impact was key in the Gators' run to the Elite Eight in 2017, averaging 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament including grabbing 10 rebounds in the Sweet 16 Win against favored Virginia at Madison Square Garden.

Defensively, Justin can defend multiple positions. He has great footwork, athleticism and a relentless energy that causes fits for opponents. While at Florida, he spent most of his time defending the opposing teams’ best player, which included a matchup against former Number 1 Overall Pick in the 2016 NBA Draft in Ben Simmons. In a 2016 showdown, Justin forced Simmons into eight turnovers in the second half, which included a pair of charging fouls drawn by Justin.

Justin won multiple awards while playing at Shawnee, including being named NJCAA D1 All-America Honorable Mention in 2014 and 2015 and the NJCAA D1 All-Region XXIV Team. This past season in Germany, Justin was named a Eurobasket.com All-German 2 - Bundesliga Pro A Honorable Mention.

Originally from Conway, Arkansas, Justin was born to Yolanda Marshall and Arthur Leon. His two siblings are Gyjoan and Laquita Leon. Justin played his High School basketball at Conway High School, earning 7A All-Conference, All-Region and All-State honors while averaging 13.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

Justin graduated from the University of Florida in Spring 2017.
