Quentin Snider is entering his third professional season and his first season with Petrolina AEK Larnaca in Cyprus after spending his first rookie season in Portugal and this past season in Holland.

 

Quentin is a playmaking lead guard with the ability to score from each level of the court, involves his teammates and is trusted to lead the offense. While with Rotterdam (Holland) this past season, Quentin showed his durability by playing 33+ minutes per game while averaging 19.1 points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He was one of the leaders in the Erdivisie league in 3-point shooting at 41.7% to go along with a reliable 84% shooting from the free throw line. Not just skilled, Quentin is a tough player with a high basketball IQ that he displays on each side of the court by controlling pace, making hustle plays and always being in the right spot.

 

Quentin played his collegiate basketball at the University of Louisville from 2014-2018. At Louisville, Quentin started 97 total games, appearing in both an NCAA and NIT Elite Eight while averaging 9.21 points and 3.17 assists per game throughout his career, including two seasons averaging double figures in points. While at Louisville, Quentin was recognized for his efforts by being named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week (12/25/2016), United States Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week (12/25/2016) and Battle 4 Atlantis All-Tournament Team (2017).

 

In his two professional seasons, Quentin has made an All-Star Game (Portuguese LPB-2019) and has been named Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Honorable Mention in 2020 and was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Dutch Eredivisie 1st Team and the Eurobasket.com Dutch Eredivisie All-Imports Team.

 

Quentin was born in Louisville, Kentucky where he attended Ballard High School. He is the son of Scott and Latonda Snider and has one younger brother (Cameron). During his Senior year, Quentin was named Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball, was a first team all-state selection and was ranked 33rd overall nationally by Rivals.com. Quentin is first in Ballard’s program history with 2,442 career points and 633 assists. His 341 career three-pointers is third in Kentucky High School Basketball history. During his Junior year, Quentin was named first-team all-state and the Seventh Region player of the year as a junior. Quentin was named the MVP of the 2014 Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic All-Star Game and had 64 combined points between the two Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Games, which ranks third in the history of the event, only behind George McGinnis (1969) and Oscar Robertson (1956).

 

Quentin was a Communications major at Louisville and was named to the All-ACC Academic Men’s Basketball team three times (2015-2017).
